Gregory G. Curtin
Founder & CEO
Gregory C. Curtin, PhD, JD, founder and CEO of CivicConnect, pioneered the use of technology and data to transform the public sector, and is now regarded as a revolutionary technology entrepreneur. Having spent many years as a public school teacher, a professor at the University of Southern California and a municipal government attorney, Dr. Curtin brings deep knowledge and passion for the public sector to his vision for digital governance. Dr. Curtin is accredited for his work as a Senior Fellow at the World Economic Forum (WEF) and serves as a Charter Member of WEF’s Global Agenda Council on the Future of Government. During his 10-year tenure with the United Nations Global E-Government Survey and Report, Curtin served as the principle investigator and one of its senior contributors. He founded and directed the E-Governance Collaborative Program at the University of Southern California Bedrosian Center, and started the Journal of E-Government peer-review. Authoring work throughout the evolution of smart cities, Dr. Curtin published Free the Data: E-Governance for Megaregions and The World of E-Government.
CTO / VP Engineering
Mr. Wong is one of the early contributors to cloud applications and services, beginning with his notable work for technology giants such as Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and Xerox. He built and led large product development teams as VP of Engineering at Panasonic Cloud Entertainment and VP of Product Engineering at Nielsen/MediaSync. Mr. Wong earned his Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering at California State University, San Jose, a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s of Science equivalency/Computer Science at California State University, Chico.
VP Mobile and Urban Mobility
Rod has pioneered great products for more than 25 years. His history includes building the Video Advertising platform at Yahoo!, industry recognition for Interactive Television products at Canal+, and past innovations for the early Apple Lisa & Macintosh. He holds several patents for Content Delivery, Interaction Design, and Interactive television. During his career Rod held titles of Distinguished Engineer, Principal Designer, and Senior Director for Product Management. Most recently Rod worked as Principal Architect / Engineer for the SaaS companies ServiceSource and Medallia, focused on component-based software and responsible for product architecture, including mobile apps and data analytics. Rod holds a BA in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley.
Chief Financial Officer
Andy Lubesnick leads finance and business operations functions for CivicConnect. Prior to CivicConnect, Andy was Head of FP&A & Controller at Empyr, an online to offline card-linked offers platform that has raised $45MM+ in capital. Prior to Empyr, Andy was at Grant Thornton, one of the world’s largest professional services network of independent accounting and consulting member firms, where he lead clients in 20+ business acquisitions ranging from $150,000 to $150 million. Andy holds a BS in Accountancy and Master of Accounting Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a CPA.
